Hermes Jour d'Hermès fragrance

Today I was running through department store and we have a new arrival by Hermes. Actually I found that I really don't dig it at the moment, but this creation by Jean-Claude Ellena really did cheer me up and made spring feel closer...

The notes weren't released to public as I can understand, because perfumer wanted  for us to smell what we want to smell. Uh-oh. While I might be ok with describing scents, I mostly fail with guessing the notes, but then again they are composed of variety of smells so some particular can stick out...

Let's try. Opening is fresh and very citrusy green. It's like bergamot, like lemon and like lime. Very savory yet airy and have some floral company. Sour citrus note is one strong side of composition that is around for hours to go. I applied it at midday and still, I can sense it almost 7 hours on.

The floral part. Fresh florals that linger around and depict the air of spring with it's blooming trees. I think there is magnolia like in Acqua di Parma Nobile. By the way they smell very similar to my nose. Maybe hint of jasmine which smells like it's alive when blooming rather than perfumery version. And probably small undertone of rose so gentle as rose can be.

In the end I'll say that it's great perfume for spring and summer, it's light enough, it's very pleasant. Jour d'Hermes is a timeless fragrance that will suit young and mature lady, it's refined and elegant. It could be a good investment fr one who likes fragrances. It is a perfect option for a day you can't decide what to wear.
